Dr. Ajadi is currently the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Mortgage Banking Association of
Nigeria. He coordinates the formulation, articulation, and implementation of the National
Executive Council’s (NEC) policy decisions, operational plans, and strategies for delivering the
Association's mandate.
He has cultivated an impressive professional journey spanning nearly three decades, marked by a
diverse array of roles that have significantly enriched his expertise. His career began at Excel
Professional Centre in Ibadan in 1994, where he served as Registrar and Head of Administration
while also teaching aspiring accountancy professionals in Financial Management, Management
Accounting, Cost Accounting, Financial Accounting, and Taxation. In 1998, he transitioned to
Aneni Dairo and Co., where he took on the role of Audit Officer.
In March 1999, Dr. Ajadi moved to Chartered Bank Plc, gaining expertise in banking operations
and swiftly rising to the position of Operations Manager within three years. During his tenure, he
also led the establishment of an award-winning branch in Ile-Ife, Osun State, from 2003 to 2005.
His journey continued into management consulting with B. Adedipe Associates Limited and RMS
Investment Trust Limited from 2005 to 2006, where he gained insights into critical areas of
business management, including human resources, recruitment, learning and development,
strategic planning, and business research.
In 2010, Dr. Ajadi joined The Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers as Director/Head of Education
and Training, working with his team to elevate the institute’s examination and training standards.
He was appointed Acting Registrar and CEO in 2013, and in 2014, he became the Registrar and
CEO, a role he held with distinction until completing his maximum two tenures in July 2021.
A distinguished professional, Dr. Ajadi is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants
of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers. He is also an Associate of The Association
of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), and a Member of The Association of Certified
International Investment Analysts. His academic achievements include bachelor’s degrees in
Applied Accounting and Agricultural Extension & Rural Sociology, MSc. degrees in Finance and
Investment and Agricultural Economics, an MBA from Nexford University, USA, and a Ph.D. in
Finance.
Dr. Ajadi’s dedication to excellence has earned him numerous awards, including the prestigious
Chevening Scholarship from the UK government, the Excellent Leadership and Long Service
Awards from the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, the Top Postgraduate and Educational Trust
Awards from The Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (UK), and the CFA (UK) Award
for Outstanding Investment Research.
